Rajganj, 10th September: A theft at the Mid-Day Meal kitchen of a school in Rajganj has caused concern after miscreants allegedly broke the lock of the kitchen and stole various utensils and plates used by students.
The incident took place at Nangatagach Special Cadre Primary School. According to the school teachers, they arrived at the school on Thursday morning and found the lock of the Mid-Day Meal kitchen broken.
Upon entering the kitchen, the teachers found that several cooking utensils and other items were missing. The students’ food plates were also allegedly stolen.
The theft caused difficulties for the school authorities in preparing the Mid-Day Meal for students on Thursday.
Teachers alleged that similar thefts had taken place at the school in the past as well. With school materials being repeatedly stolen, questions are being raised over the security of the school premises.
The teachers said they would lodge a complaint with the police over the latest incident.
