Siliguri, 13th February: The Darjeeling district CPI(M) has approached the railway officials regarding the demand for a flyover at the railway gate in Rangapani Anchal near Siliguri at the earliest.
Common people have to go through a prolonged jam in the said area due to which, today a memorandum was handed over to the railway officials in support of the three-point demands on behalf of the organization. Representing the organization, Jibesh Sarkar said that apart from the flyover, there is also a need for an underpass.
Along with this, the railway department has taken initiative to refurbish the NJP station. Apart from this, he also appealed to the Railway Department to consider the issue of not uprooting the residents living there.
