Siliguri, 25th January: The Matigara police, on Sunday night, launched operations at the Dhakaljote area and arrested two men along with firearms and drugs.
The arrested accused have been identified as Shah Oli and Shamsar Khan, residents of Dalkola in Uttar Dinajpur district. A firearm, seven rounds of fresh ammunition, 330 grams of brown sugar, and 6 lakh 32 thousand rupees cash were recovered from their possession.
The duo will be produced before the Siliguri court today. It is to be noted that a few days ago, the Matigara police arrested four people along with firearms and 91 rounds of fresh ammunition. Investigation in underway.
