Fulbari, 28th June: A man lost his life after being hit by a train near the Kamrangaguri overbridge in Fulbari on Sunday. The incident, which occurred on the railway tracks, created a stir among local residents.
According to local sources, residents spotted the body lying on the tracks and immediately informed the authorities. Police from New Jalpaiguri Police Station, along with railway officials, reached the spot and initiated an inquiry.
The deceased was identified as Manik Bhatta, a resident of Srinagar Colony under Fulbari-I Gram Panchayat. He was employed as a school bus driver.
Family members rushed to the scene after receiving the news. The body was recovered and sent for post-mortem examination.
Police have launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
