Man brutally kills wife in Siliguri on suspicion of illicit relationship, accused arrested  

Siliguri, 13th February: Sensation prevailed after a horrific incident of murder in Ward No. 34 Bhaktinagar area surfaced when a husband brutally murdered his wife on suspicion of having an illicit relationship. At the same time, as soon as the news was received, the police arrested the accused husband.


Reportedly, Sudeep Vaish and Supriya Vaish, both residents of Cooch Behar were married for 10 years. The family members alleged that the in-laws used to torture Supriya and on the other hand, Sudeep also used to assault his wife often. Meanwhile, a few years ago the said couple came to Siliguri. But Sudeep’s misbehaviour towards her husband did not subside. After getting fed up with the tormented behaviour of her husband, Supriya started living in a rented house in the Bhaktinagar area with their children. Despite living separately, Sudeep used to go to her place and fight. 

However, on Sunday some family members and relatives of the husband and in-laws reached Supriya’s house. It is alleged that during this Sudeep attacked and killed his wife. After this, blood-soaked Supriya was taken to Siliguri district hospital where the doctors declared her brought dead. Acting promptly on the news of the incident, the police of NJP police station reached the spot and arrested the husband. Today the accused has been produced in the Jalpaiguri court.
