Siliguri, 05th December: A person has been arrested with 280 grams of brown sugar. The arrested accused has been identified as Noas Ekka (52).
It has been learned that the man was detained by the jawans of the 41st Battalion of SSB at Rathkhola of Naxalbari late on Saturday night. 280 grams of brown sugar was recovered from his possession. The arrested person was later handed over to Naxalbari police.
According to police sources, the market value of the recovered brown sugar is around Rs 50 lakh. He was produced in Siliguri court today.
