Phansidewa, 26th September: Phansidewa MLA and Health Standing Committee Chairman Durga Murmu inaugurated a new ambulance service at the Batasi Health Centre in Kharibari on Saturday.
The Batasi Health Centre had not had an ambulance service until now, causing difficulties for around 40,000 residents in the area. The absence of an ambulance often created problems in cases of accidents and while transporting patients to hospitals.
The shortage has now been addressed with the introduction of the new ambulance service. Local residents thanked the MLA for the initiative.
MLA Durga Murmu himself drove the ambulance during the inauguration.
