Malda man arrested for duping people on pretext of offering jobs

Siliguri, 17th August: Kamal Das, a resident of Malda Mirzapur, was arrested by the NJP police for allegedly duping people on the pretext of offering railway jobs.


According to the information, the accused was hiding in Siliguri after fraudulently inducing people to transfer large amounts of money on the pretext of a job offer.

One such victim lodged a written complaint at the NJP station, based on which the Police launched investigations and arrested the accused Kamal Das.


After questioning Kamal Das, the police learned regarding another person who is a resident of Kolkata. He used to dupe several youths on the pretext of offering jobs and provide a commission to Das.

The arrested accused was produced before the Jalpaiguri court. Police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
