Major issues discussed on Day 02 of CM’s Administrative Review Meeting

Siliguri, 30th September: After Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s administrative review meeting with the officials of Alipurduar and Jalpaiguri districts on Tuesday, another meeting was held with the officials of Darjeeling, Kalimpong, and Cooch Behar today. District magistrates of three districts and other administrative officials were present during the meeting.


In today’s meeting, the CM once again appealed to the common people to celebrate Durga Puja in accordance with the COVID protocols. She stated this year, idol immersion will take place for four days.

With this, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of Jalpaiguri Medical College and Hospital during today’s administrative meeting. Besides, Rs 175 crore was given to GTA for development in the hills. Rs 5 crore was also given to Rajbangshi Bhasa Academy and Rs 10 crore to Rajbanshi Development and Cultural Board.


Besides, the CM once again said that strict action will be taken against fraudulent news on social media. She also asked the police administration to be vigilant in this concern.

“Fake news is being spread by creating WhatsApp groups with money. All Inspector-in-charge (IC)s need to be more active,” Banerjee instructed.

Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee targeted BJP in the second round of the meeting. “Those who are talking about law and order in Bengal should look at Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat,” she attacked.
