Lockdown 4.0: Several markets reopen in Siliguri

Siliguri, 21st April: While extending lockdown in the state till May 31 in accordance with Centre’s guidelines, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee recently announced that all the markets in the state will be allowed to resume operations from March 21.


Following the announcement, the local administration held a meeting along with all the Siliguri market committees on Wednesday, where it was decided that the markets in Siliguri can resume operations from Thursday following all the government protocols and maintaining social distance.

Besides, the traders have been asked to use masks, sanitizers and gloves while conducting trade. Strict surveiilance will also be kept by the market committee and the administration.
