Locals upset over drainage and road construction work getting stalled in Naxalbari

Naxalbari, 08th August: Locals of Naxalbari’s South Station Para are concerned due to the incomplete work of drainage and road constructions. Three months have passed since the construction of 264 metres of roads and drains started in the area. The locals expressed anguish as they are facing great inconvenience, especially during the rainy days.


The locals appealed to start the construction as soon as possible and also questioned the sudden halt in the work after the end of the panchayat elections results. The lack of repair is birthing different problems for the locals.

In this context, Naxalbari Panchayat Samiti President Anand Ghosh said that the election has just ended and the work has stopped due to the problem of the Green Tribunal. He assured that the work will resume soon.
