Rajganj, 18th September: The locals took to the streets in protest demanding the repair of the road at the earliest. The residents protested by blocking the road on Belakoba Hospital Road.
Locals allege that the road is dilapidated for several months which has made the road prone to accidents. Not only this, students are finding it difficult to commute every day. On the said road of Belakoba Rural Hospital patients are also facing problems commuting to the hospital. There was talk of getting the road repaired before the puja, but till now, no proper initiatives have been taken to repair it.
In this regard, Nirmala Dutta, Deputy Chief of Belakoba Zone, said that the foundation stone for the road construction was laid a few months back. But the road work will only resume once the fund comes as it is still under process. The Deputy Chief also assured of the road work to be expeditiously once the fund comes. Then added that the said information and the demand of repairing the road will be given to the higher authority for speedy completion of the pending work of road
