Siliguri, 28th December: Sensation prevailed after two miscreants broke into a hardware shop in Siliguri’s Burdwan Road and stole cash worth lakhs.
Reportedly, the duo entered the shop through a ventilator on Sunday night and looted lakhs of rupees from the cash box. In addition to this, the miscreants also tried to break a locker kept inside the shop.
According to the shop owner, the matter only came to light after the shop was opened on Monday morning. Following this, the Khalpara outpost police were immediately informed who rushed to the spot. An investigation has been launched into the matter and the police are looking at the CCTV footages of the shop.
