Kharibari, 03rd July: In the mission to uproot the menace of substance abuse, personnel of Kharibari Police Station under Darjeeling District Police launched an operation and apprehended a person at Mailanijote Bazar, Ghoshpukur.

During the search, the police recovered 700 grams of opium and 5 kg 500 grams of poppy husk from his possession. Accordingly, a case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act.
