Siliguri, 31st August: Jalpaimore Ganesh Puja Committee has appealed to make a plastic-free city through their Ganesh Puja. Siliguri Municipal Corporation Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar inaugurated the puja pavilion. The organizers also distributed clothes among the needy on the special occasion.
Tukai Paswan, Secretary of the Puja Committee, said that they keep serving the people throughout the year. In regard to observing the Ganesh Puja, various service-oriented works will be done by the committee. Apart from this, he appealed to the common people to make the city plastic free by avoiding the usage of plastic and its products.
