Siliguri, 22nd June: Laghu Udyog Bharati North Bengal and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) North Bengal jointly welcomed the West Bengal Budget 2026 during a press conference held in Siliguri on Monday.
The press conference was organised at the office of Aditya Mitruka on Church Road and was attended by CII North Bengal Chairman Satish Mitruka and Laghu Udyog Bharati North Bengal President CA Aditya Mitruka.
Speaking to the media, the industry representatives described the budget as favourable for trade and industry. They said the emphasis on infrastructure development, business expansion and the growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sends a positive signal for the economy of North Bengal.
Satish Mitruka stated that various development initiatives announced by the State Government would create new opportunities for the industrial sector. He expressed confidence that the budget would play an important role in generating employment and attracting investment to the region.
CA Aditya Mitruka said the industrial and business community views the budget announcements positively. He added that measures aimed at strengthening the MSME sector would further accelerate economic activities across the state.
Both organisations expressed hope that the budget proposals would contribute to sustained economic growth and industrial development in North Bengal.
