IDPP submits memorandum to Chief Minister in support of various demands

Islampur, 05th March: A memorandum was handed over to the State Chief Minister, on behalf of the Indian Democratic People’s Party (IDPP), in support of various demands. The Party’s Central President Habibur Rahman stated that they had hoped that the Chief Minister would announce Islampur as a district, during her North Dinajpur tour. However, the CM made no reference in this context.


Therefore, a memorandum was handed over to the Chief Minister, through the Sub-divisional Officer, demanding that Islampur be named a district, as well as to stop the irregularities and cut money in various Government schemes, on Thursday. The President of the IDPP warned of staging larger demonstrations if their demands were not met. The Party also staged a rally in the city in support of these demands.
