ICs of four police stations of Siliguri Metropolitan Police transferred ahead of Lok Sabha Elections

Siliguri, 27th January: The Siliguri Metropolitan Police witnessed change in charges of police stations as 285 inspector rank police personnel of the state have been transferred ahead of Lok Sabha Elections. The transfer list has also been published in which ICs (Inspector-in-Charge) of Matigara, Pradhan Nagar, Bhakti Nagar and Siliguri police stations of Siliguri Metropolitan Police have also been transferred.


According to reports, the current IC of Matigara Sameer Deusa has been transferred to Banarhat police station and IC Arindam Chatterjee of Lalgarh police station of Jhargram will be replacing him. IC Anirban Bhattacharya of Pradhan Nagar police station has been transferred to Alipurduar. In his position, Basudeb Sarkar from Kumargram police station would be the new incharge of Pradhan Nagar police station.

Meanwhile, IC of Bhakti Nagar police station Amresh Singh has been made the IC of Chopra police station. IC Amit Adhikari of Jamboni police station of Jhargram is being transferred in his position.


IC Anupam Majumdar of Siliguri police station has been transferred to Rajganj police station. IC Sanjay Ghosh of Kalimpong police station has been made the new IC of Siliguri police station. Additionally, IC Suraj Thapa of Dinhata police station has been made the IC of Siliguri SB Department.

Also, OC (Officer-in-Charge) of Khalpara Outpost Mrinmay Ghosh has been made the OC of Bhorer Alo police station. While, Medical Outpost OC Sudip Kumar Dutta would be the new OC of Khalpara Outpost. On the other hand, Panitanki’s current OC Pappu Singh has been transferred to the Arms License Department of Police Commissionerate. Inspector Migma Lepcha in DD of Siliguri Metropolitan Police has been made the IC of Sadar police station of Darjeeling district.
