Jalpaiguri, 01st January: On New Year, huge crowds were spotted at Murti in Dooars, Chalsa View point, and Laliguras Picnic spot since this morning.
Tourists from different parts of the country said that they chose to visit this place to spend the first day of the year enjoying nature.
Meanwhile, traders are also happy to experience such huge crowds of tourists. Trader Mohammad Shahjahan said that they earned good profits today.
However, strict security measures were also taken by the administration. The police had a hard time managing the traffic jam at Murti Bridge.
