Help reaches the 9-month-old baby after Siliguri Times’ news coverage

Siliguri, 04th May: Yesterday, Siliguri Times covered a piece of news regarding a family of the Siliguri Ward No. 46 Dhaknikata area, struggling to feed their 9-month-old baby.


Due to the ongoing lockdown, the family has no source of income and did not even have a penny to buy milk for their baby. The parents desperately sought help from the administration.

In response to their request, several voluntary organizations extended their helping hand towards the couple. One of which was Siliguri Subrata Sangha of Deshbandhu Para, who handed over ration and milk to the family on Monday.


The organization’s President Ravi Roy acknowledged Siliguri Times for featuring the news as it helped him learn about difficulties being faced by the family. He further stated that the entire Subrata Sangha family in with them during this hour of crisis.

On the other hand, Trinamool Congress of Siliguri Municipal Corporation’s Ward No. 46 also came forward to help the family.
