Rajganj, 15th October: Four people were injured in a head-on collision between a gas tanker and a four-wheeler in Jiaganj, adjacent to Fulbari, this evening.
Reportedly, a four-wheeler was heading from Siliguri towards Jalpaiguri when the said car collided head-on with a tanker that was coming from the opposite direction. As a result, four occupants of the four-wheeler were seriously injured in the collision. After the incident, the injured were rescued and sent to a private hospital in Fulbari. Meanwhile, the driver of the tanker fled from the spot.
On receiving the news of the incident, the Fulbari Traffic Guard, New Jalpaiguri Police, and a fire engine from Siliguri reached the spot. Police have recovered both vehicles and have started investigating the incident.
All bag and baggage were lòst from the car causing heavy loss to the occupants of the car. I am one of them.
