Siliguri, 08th August: ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign launched by the Government of India under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring the the national flag home and to hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence. Owing to this, a ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ program was organized by the BJP Siliguri Organization District No. 08 Mandal Committee in Bhanu Nagar area under Ward No. 43 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation.
During the program, BJP SC Morcha Darjeeling-Jalpaiguri District Incharge and BJP Siliguri Organizational District Spokesperson Dr Sachin Prasad stated that the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is being celebrated on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In today’s program, about 40 to 50 shopkeepers and passers-by of Bhanu Nagar area were given the tricolor flag. Apart from Dr Sachin Prasad, No. 08 Mandal Committee president Hira Roy, general secretary Rupesh Singh, secretary Sunil Sahni, No. 08 Mandal Mahila Morcha president Babita Gupta and many others were present.
