Siliguri, 1st January: The State Tourism Minister, Goutam Deb, arrived in Siliguri, today, to take stock of the preparations for Mamata Banerjee’s padayatra, on January 3rd. Addressing the reporters after taking stock of the preparations for the rally, the Minister stated that a huge padayatra will be organized by the State Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, on January 3rd. This padayatra will be organized protesting against the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019.
The State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s padayatra will commence from Mallaguri on 3rd January. The padayatra will conclude at the Baghajatin Park after touring Siliguri’s Air View More. The activists from both the hills and the plains will be present in the rally.
