Madarihat, 03rd October: A garment shop was burnt to ashes in a major fire at Madarihat in Alipurduar district, on Sunday morning.
It has been learned that the locals sighted smoke coming out of the shop of Ujwal Saha in Madarihat Bazar. After opening the shop, they saw that all the clothes had been burnt to ashes.
Later, the locals started putting out the fire and informed the fire brigade. A fire engine reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
