Naxalbari, 21st January: A free eye checkup camp was organized today by the Siliguri Greater Lions Eye Hospital under the joint aegis of Naxalbari Lions Club and Naxalbari Police Station.
Naxalbari police OC Iftikhar-ul-Ḥasan, Naxalbari Lions Club secretary Kaushik Acharya, Narendra Prasad, Prahlad Biswas, Dev Prasad Bhowmik Shyamal, Anil Saha and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the camp, Kaushik Acharya stated that under the joint aegis of Naxalbari police and Lions Club, the said free eye check-up camp was organized in collaboration with Lions Eye Hospital. Around 120 people were examined at the said eye camp out of which 21 have been referred for operation. The further required procedures will be conducted next Monday and Friday.
