Phansidewa, 16th August: A football tournament was organised to commemorate Khela Hobe Diwas on the field of Kantibhita Sports Association. The tournament was organised under the aegis of the Department of Youth Services and Sports.
The tournament was commenced through a flag hoisting ceremony and also through various cultural programs. Eight football teams participated in the tournament. During this, Siliguri Council’s Assistant Ruma Reshmi Ekka, Phansidewa BDO Sanju Guha Majumdar, member of the Mahakuma Parishad Ainul Haque, President of Phansidewa Panchayat Samiti Reena Ekka, Vice President of Phansidewa Panchayat Samiti Chandra Mohan Roy, Chandan Kumar Roy an eminent social worker and others were present.
