Mathabhanga, 18th May: A massive fire erupted at Ramthenga bazar in Mathabhanga Block II, causing significant damage to three shops.
As per reports, the inferno was first noticed by locals on Friday night, who promptly informed the fire department. Upon receiving the news, a fire engine quickly arrived at the scene. A second vehicle was later dispatched to help bring the blaze under control. Despite the efforts, a clothing shop and a cosmetic shop were completely gutted, while another shop sustained severe damage.
Initial investigations suggest that a short circuit might have triggered the fire. The police are currently investigating the incident to determine the exact cause of the incident.
