Eye donation camp to be organized on February 26 by INTTUC in Fulbari

Fulbari, 15th February: On the initiative of TMC Trade Union INTTUC of Dabgram-Fulbari Assembly Center, a posthumous eye donation camp will be organized on February 26. INTTUC Block President Sukant Kar gave the information during a press conference at the party office in Fulbari on Wednesday. 


Several people in India are suffering from blindness. Thus, the INTTUC has taken the initiative to organize posthumous eye donation camps. The camp will be organized at Battala More in Fulbari during which around 150 people will agree to donate their eyes posthumously. 

In this regard, Block President of INTTUC, Sukant Kar said that according to the statistics of 2022, about 1 crore 30 lakh people in India are suffering from blindness. Among those, there are about 20 lakh people in West Bengal. Thinking about the people who are blind, the organization has decided to organize posthumous eye donation camps. He further appealed to various organizations and social organizations to come forward and help.


Presidents of regional INTTUC, Mohammad Salim, Mohammad Ali, Nidhir Acharya, Arun Das, Sitacharan Das, and other leaders were present at the said press conference.
