Phansidewa, 09th December: The excise department recovered a large quantity of raw spirit in Phansidewa, on Thursday. However, no one was arrested in the incident.
It has been learned that after receiving a tip-off, the Excise Department officials raided a godown in the Sadargachh area of Phansidewa and recovered 1800 liters of raw spirit and various liquor-making materials.
In this regard, the OC of Naxalbari Circle of Excise Department Pulak Sarkar said that 1800 liters of raw spirit have been recovered. No one was arrested in the incident. An investigation has been launched.
It has been learned that Bagdogra Excise Department, Bidhannagar, Naxalbari, and Pradhan Nagar teams were present at the operation.
