Alipurduar, 20th April: The Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) of all booths of Alipurduar Lok Sabha constituency have been sealed in DCRC strong room situated at Alipurduar University. Reportedly, the EVMs would be kept in the strong room guarded by paramilitary forces till June 4.
Notably, after the first phase of Lok Sabha elections ended on Friday, the EVMs were brought from all the booths to the strong room. On Saturday, the strong room was sealed in the presence of all party candidates and agents. The strong room would be under strict vigilance by central force and police till the counting of votes.
