Dhupguri, 04th October: Sensation prevailed after an endangered wild cat was rescued from a residence in Dhupguri’s Gadong No. 1 Gram Panchayat, on Sunday.
According to local sources, the cat entered the said house to feed on chicken. As soon as the locals noticed it, they got hold of the cat and trapped it inside a gunny bag.
Following this, the incident was reported to the Binnaguri Wildlife Squad. Upon receiving the news, the forest officials reached the spot and rescued the animal.
