Alipurduar, 08th September: An incident of an elephant attack has come to the fore that took place this morning in the area of the Chipra forest of the Buxa Tiger Reserve. The attack claimed one life and seriously injured another person. The deceased has been identified as Narayan Ghosh and the injured person as Subhash Barman.
According to the locals, a wild elephant attacked people who were on their way into the forest and were going fishing. The two sadly met the unfortunate incident and others quickly escaped. The injured were later rescued and rushed to the Kamakhyaguri Block Primary Health Center where the doctors declared one of them brought dead and the other injured is referred to the Alipurduar District Hospital.
