Siliguri, 06th September: Sensation prevailed in the area near Siliguri Junction adjacent to the SDO office after the body of an unidentified elderly person was found outside a closed shop.
Reportedly, in the morning the locals found the person lying unconscious outside a shop located near the SDO office. After this, when people went to check on him they realised that the elderly man was dead. Later the police were informed about the incident. As soon as the news was received, the Pradhan Nagar Police reached the spot and recovered the body, and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem.
Police after interrogating the locals learned that the deceased was a rickshaw puller and used to stand at Junction area. Police stated that the cause of death will only be determined after the post-mortem report comes. Police are probing the entire incident.
