Raiganj, 06th February: Sensation prevailed after an elderly man, identified as Revati Mohan Singh (62), was burnt to death near the Kashibati Loknath Mandir area under Ward No 1 of Raiganj in North Dinajpur district.
It was reported that the deceased’s son and daughter-in-law went to the market, on Wednesday evening. The elderly man was left alone in the house. The neighbors sighted fire coming out of the house, rushed to the spot and informed the fire brigade. Upon receiving the news, a fire engine rushed to the spot.
The Police recovered the body, sent it for an autopsy and have launched an investigation into the incident.
