Jalpaiguri, 19th April: The sudden demise of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPIM) in front of the polling booth in Dhupguri led to an atmosphere of mourning in the area. The deceased individual has been identified as Pradip Das (58).
As per details received, Pradip Das was sitting in a temporary election office of CPI(M) outside booth number 15/124 located at the Binoy Sha More of the Dhupguri block when his health began to severely deteriorate. Subsequently, he was rushed to the hospital where the medical professionals declared him dead.
However, the actual reason behind his sudden death is still unclear. Meanwhile, the CPI(M) workers present at the hospital broke down in tears.
