Siliguri, 12th June: The DHRUMA Film Festival, focusing on the culture and traditions of the hills, was organised at the Rabindra Bhanu Mancha of the University of North Bengal to preserve and promote the heritage of the region.
State Panchayats and Rural Development Minister Dilip Ghosh attended the festival along with University of North Bengal officiating Registrar Bhaskar Biswas and several film producers.
The festival highlighted the importance of preserving the traditional culture of the hills and promoting regional cinema.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Dilip Ghosh stressed the need for making regional films to showcase local culture and help boost tourism in the region.
