Siliguri, 19th September: On Saturday night, death of a young teenage girl, a student of Ganganagar of Ward No. 05 was reported. However, the hospital management did not mention the cause of her death in the report. Due to this, the angry relatives and acquaintances of the deceased ransacked the nursing home in Khalpara, Siliguri.
Reportedly, the deceased who has been identified as Twinkle Verma was infected with dengue, and lost her battle to life during treatment. She was cremated on Sunday. Meanwhile, some residents of Ganganagar protested and vandalized the nursing home this morning. The relatives of the deceased teenager alleged that she died of dengue but there is no mention of dengue in the death report. They have also alleged negligence in her treatment.
On the other hand, as soon as the news of the incident was received, the Siliguri Police reached the nursing home and interacted with the family members of the deceased.
