Siliguri, 11th August: Today marks the 114th death anniversary of India’s brave son Khudiram Bose. At the age of 18 Khudiram gleefully hanged himself to save the country from the tyranny of British rule. Many historians have recognized him as the youngest martyr in India’s freedom struggle. The death anniversary of the freedom fighter was observed today on behalf of Siliguri Municipal Corporation.
On behalf of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, a tribute program was organised at Mallaguri. Respect were paid by offering garlands to the statue of the revolutionary Khudiram Bose. Siliguri’s Mayor Goutam Deb, SMC Chairman Pratul Chakraborty along with Mayor-Council and SMC officials marked their presence in the program.
