In a distressing incident, a woman from Darjeeling was subjected to sexual assault and brutally tormented for a week in Delhi. The incident came to light when the Neb Sarai police station was alerted of the matter. The accused arrested has been identified as Paras (28), a resident of Uttarakhand.
According to reports, the woman used to reside with the accused Paras in a rented accommodation in Delhi. One day, in a fit of rage, Paras allegedly physically abused the woman and poured ‘boiling dal’ over her. Reportedly, the woman was later rescued and hospitalized with severe burns all over her body. Meanwhile, the accused Paras was arrested and charged with rape, sodomy, and abuse.
