Darjeeling District Congress organised a rally on 81st year of Quit India Movement

Siliguri, 09th August: Darjeeling District Congress organised a rally to observe the 81 years of the Quit India Movement, that marched through different parts of the city and paid tribute to the brave heroes at the martyr’s altar. The rally commenced from the Siliguri Police Station area today and covered different areas of the city and at the end reached the Gandhi statue in front of the Head Post Office of Siliguri.


The District Congress members paid tribute to the Gandhi statue. Former MP Pradeep Bhattacharya, All India Congress Committee secretary BP Singh, former Siliguri Mayor Gangotri Dutta, and Darjeeling District Congress President Shankar Malakar were present during the program.
