Siliguri, 21st October: The I.G. and S.P., who were injured in a road accident early this morning, have been admitted to a nursing home in Matigara. While the injured car driver and bodyguard have been admitted to a nursing home on Sevoke Road.
It is to be noted, a dumper collided with the car of I.G. DP Singh near Damdim this morning. Singh was accompanied by the S.P. Traffic Abdes Pathak. The IG, SP, car driver and bodyguard were injured in the said collision. Dr. Vishal Abhijeet, the nursing home at Sevoke Road, said that the physical condition of both the IG and the SP is stable and no surgery is required.
However, IG’s car driver Hiralal Barui and bodyguard Arup Biswas have been admitted to a nursing home on Sevoke Road. SMC’s Mayor Goutam Deb reached Matigara to meet the IG.
