CPI(M) Darjeeling District Committee submitted a 5-point memorandum to the Jalpaiguri DM

Siliguri, 21st May: The CPI(M) Darjeeling District Committee submitted a memorandum to the Jalpaiguri District Magistrate in support of various demands.


Demands such as providing ration to the stranded workers as well as the non-ration cardholders residing in the Dabgram-Fulbari assembly constituency area were presented through the memorandum.

In this regard, the Darjeeling District CPI(M) member Dilip Singh stated that several non-ration cardholders in the said area are deprived of basic food amid the lockdown. Apart from this, he stated that ration should also be provided to all the workers who are stranded in the city ever since the lockdown was imposed.


Singh further added that financial aid should be provided to the employees of various private organizations who are not getting their salaries due to the lockdown. With this, the demand to commence the process of providing land lease to the people in Dabgram-Fulbari assembly constituency area soon was also made. This would further ease people to take benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana scheme.
