Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University to get first Digital Library Hub

Cooch Behar, 08th February: In a recent development, the First Digital Library Hub, is being constructed at Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University in collaboration with IIT Kharagpur National Digital Library of India


According to reports, on Thursday, a special seminar on Digital Library Hub was organized at Rabindra Bhawan in Cooch Behar under the supervision of Kharagpur National Digital Library of India under the joint initiative of IIT Kharagpur and Coch Behar Panchanan Barma University. The seminar is stated to be held for two days.

The seminar witnessed the presence of the Vice-Chancellor of Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University Dr. Nikhil Chandra Roy, Registrar Dr. Abdul Kader Safily, Chairman Central Library IIT Kharagpur K.P. Sinha Mahapatra, Librarian Central Library IIT Kharagpur Dr. B Sutradhar, President Pradip Kumar Kar and other delegates.


Reportedly, in alignment with the development, the Panchanan Barma University would install modern computer servers and advanced equipment required for the digital library hub. Significantly, the digital library would highly benefit the university’s students and students from various schools and colleges outside the district. Significantly, several information regarding the National Digital Library has been revealed during the seminar.
