Darjeeling, 23rd April: In a significant political shift, Congress leader Binoy Tamang has appealed to the public to vote for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Raju Bista ahead of second phase of LS polls. Tamang extended support to the BJP candidate from Darjeeling Lok Sabha constituency citing constitutional security and justice for the citizens of Darjeeling Hills, Siliguri, Terai and Dooars.

Reportedly, Tamang made an extensive appeal to the citizens of the said regions to cast their vote for the lotus symbol. Tamang expressed BJP’s strong possibility of coming to power once again at the centre in the 2024 general election and also in the West Bengal assembly elections in 2026.
