Condition of COVID-infected Ashok Bhattacharya improves

Siliguri, 19th June: Ashok Bhattacharya, former Mayor of the city and presiding Chairman of the Board of Administrators at SMC, was admitted to a Nursing home in Matigara, two days ago, after he had tested positive for COVID-19. Following this, the State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb made arrangements so that Bhattacharya can undergo COVID treatment at the aforementioned hospital itself.

Meanwhile, the doctors informed that he is in stable condition as of now and his blood pressure and sugar are also under control.

As per the information, the SMC BoA Chairman sometimes is kept on oxygen support when there are slight shifts in his body temperature. The doctors further informed that Bhattacharya interacted with his family and party workers. He even wished to drink fruit juice this morning. However, since he is infected with the virus, he is physically weak at the moment.

Bhattacharya’s swab test is said to be taken once again within the next few days.

Wish every citizen and all people get the same level of treatment then, demise of those unknown people could be prevented. However pray for his speedy recovery.
