CBI raids state law minister Moloy Ghatak’s residence 

Once again the CBI comes back in action with another raid on West Bengal’s Minister. This CBI has raided the residence and several other properties of State Law Minister Moloy Ghatak. This morning, the CBI launched a search operation in two houses of the minister in Asansol and later a CBI team reached his office.


Reportedly, a team of CBI reached not only the Asansol house of Moloy Ghatak but also the Lake Garden property of his which is located in Kolkata. CBI is conducting search operations around seven places which include Kolkata and Asansol. On Wednesday, the CBI first conducted a search in two of the houses of the minister which is After Road Garden in Asansol and Chelidanga. Later, the investigating agency also raided his ancestral property. According to the reports, the mobile phones of the family members of Minister Moloy Ghatak have also been seized. Earlier, the ED had called him to Delhi for questioning. 

A few weeks back many renowned Ministers of the state have been arrested by the ED after getting associated with different cases of corruption. It is to be noted that, Anubrata Mandal will be produced again in court today after 14 days of jail custody. The ED has also interrogated Trinamool’s All India General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee associated with the coal scam. Now, the CBI has launched a search operation at the house of the TMC leader of Asansol who is the Law Minister of the state.
