Case registered against scammer posing as Joint BDO demanding money under the pretense of employment in Rajganj

Rajganj, 01st February: Allegations have surfaced concerning an unidentified individual posing as the Joint BDO and demanding money under the guise of job provision IN Rajganj. Upon gaining evidence of fraud, Rajganj’s Joint BDO filed a complaint with the police.


According to reports, multiple Pradhans and Upa Pradhans of the Rajganj block received a call earlier on Thursday from an unknown number. The individual introduced himself as the Joint BDO and demanded money and documentation from them, claiming job positions for two individuals from each area. Meanwhile, the matter was immediately informed to Rajganj BDO Prashant Barman.

The BDO responded that the news of the appointment was false, and filed a complaint at the Rajganj police station. He further stated that he has been visiting various places to further the development of the block since he assumed the position of the BDO of Rajganj. The false news of job provision has been advertised on social media using an image of one such visit. Thus, he urged the public to examine the credibility of such news and take action.


Furthermore, BDO Prashant Barman claimed that an individual posing as the joint BDO of Rajganj block is calling Panchayat Pradhans and Upa-Pradhans and demanding Rs 12,050 for the recruitment of staff. However, the information of recruitment is untrue and a formal complaint has been lodged in Rajganj police station in this regard.
