Burglars breaks into a shop in Siliguri, police engaged in investigation

Siliguri, 12th September: The season of Puja witnesses great joy and excitement but on the other hand crimes like burglary also see a surge in cases. As Durga Puja is approaching a case of burglary has come to the fore. Thieves looted a shop located at Ward No. 45 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation last night. 


This morning when the shop owner opened the shutter of the shop, he found all goods inside the shop scattered and money was missing from the cash box. The thieves entered the shop through the roof by cutting it down. 

At the same time, as soon as the news of the incident was received, the police of Pradhan Nagar police station reached the spot. The shop owner told that he had gone home after closing the shop at around 12 o’clock last night. After this, when he opened the shop this morning, he saw that the tin sheet of the roof was cut open. Everything inside was scattered and the cash kept in the cash box was missing. The shop owner has alleged, that about one and a half lakh rupees were stolen.
