Siliguri, 24th August: After arriving at the Bagdogra Airport on Monday morning, Agnimitra Paul, President of Bharatiya Janata Party’s Mahila Morcha (women’s wing) addressed the media and condemned the role of the State Government concerning the rising number of rape cases across the state.
Paul alleged that the Chief Minister, instead of taking strict actions against the heinous crime, has only been providing financial assistance to the victims and their family.
Paul then left for Raiganj to hand over a memorandum to the District Magistrate in support of various demands. Following which, she will visit Jalpaiguri tomorrow.
Reportedly, The BJP Mahila Morcha President will attend various programmes in North Bengal in the coming days.
