BJP leaders, activists allegedly attacked in Siliguri and Bagdogra

Siliguri, 04th March: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and activists were allegedly attacked in Siliguri and Bagdogra, on Wednesday night.


According to BJP Siliguri District Organizational President Praveen Agarwal, the party’s Siliguri Yuva Morcha district vice-president Anit Das was returning home from a function on Wednesday night, when some alleged Trinamool Congress (TMC) miscreants attacked him near Siliguri Indore Stadium. Anit Das sustained severe injuries in the incident. Another BJP activist Krishnendu Sutradhar was injured in the incident.

The District President further alleged that another BJP worker was attacked in Bagdogra. He highly condemned the incident and stated that his party will not be suppressed by such actions.


Meanwhile, Yuva Trinamool president Kuntal Roy counter-attacked the BJP and claimed that the Bagdogra incident was an internal conflict of BJP. He further brushed off the allegations regarding the Anit Das incident.
